What's all this talk about 2012?

What is all this talk about 2012? The mayan calender ending! The apocalypse, its six years six months and six days away from June 6, 2006? But I recall in 1999 everyone thought that the world was going to end when we hit 2000, maybe it's another bluff, maybe not. I really think the carver just died, or relocated to another cave. Haha. But really who can tell, what do you think?
