Is it possible to haggle with cell phone plans?

You can't haggle the plan, but depending on how long you've been a customer you can haggle the upgrade discount you get for a new phone. These people your dealing with are sales reps and they make a commission. Their commission is based on the plan they're selling you. Based on that info try haggling down the price of the phone you are trying to upgrade to by having your sales rep add all these extra features to your account and then take them off your account couple weeks down the road. Most service providers will allow to upgrade or downgrade your account throughout the duration of your contract.
