Light switch help?????????????

it a two way switch just put your feed into the top hole probably maked common or com, the feed most times is the one with two cables together, and put the other single wire into the bottom right hole, as you look at it, if there is only one feed then i doesn't matter which way you put the wires once one is in the common and the other in L1 (the bottom right) and yes one hole will be left idle
