Cal Poly SLO or UCLA for a degree in electrical engineering?

Well, as a General Engineering (actually, I'm in the process of switching my major to Electrical Engineering) student at Cal Poly SLO, I know first-hand that you would be taking MAJOR courses pertaining to your major your first year, and not have to go through cles through tons of GE cles, something different than most of the other public universities. And while UCLA is a very well-known school, I haven't heard much about their engineering programs. Cal Poly SLO is NATIONALLY ranked one of the top schools for an undergraduate engineering degree.
