Good Electric Guitars For Rock or Heavy Metal?

I'm starting guitar lessons and right now I'm contnet to learn on my acoustic, but when I get better (in under or just over a year hopefully) I want to play AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc. on an electric. I like Schecter Guitars, and right now am looking at Ibanez RGAs. Please suggest anything under $1000 dollars that is capable of the music mentioned. I would be very grateful. And I don't really care about brands, or Floyd Roses, but as far as design, I like Flying Vs, RGAs, Strats, and Blackjacks. Thanks, I really appreciate it!
