Is the 'Sookie Stackhouse' series any better than 'Twilight'?

The Southern Vampire books are way better than that Twilight tripe. Sookie is actually a fantastic protagonist and the books are way better written. Seriously read it, you wont regret it. It is nothing like Twilight.
