How is quality of life in Europe?

Hello. I am from Brazil and have been living in the U.S. for 7 yrs now. A friend of mine from Brazil told me he has been to Europe 5 times in 6 yrs now, and he's completely in love with it. He said he would never come to the U.S. He tells me wonderful things about Europe. It makes me envy him! I don't like the quality of life here in the U.S.: food, culture, politeness, etc. How different is it in Europe? I know there is no perfect place anywhere, but can you tell me some different things that you have there from the U.S.?
